Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Level 2 Systems & Network Engineer to provide advanced technical support and administration of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network management, system administration, and troubleshooting complex IT issues. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 support for system and network issues, escalating to Level 3 when necessary.
Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
Manage and support Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and regular maintenance on servers, storage, and network equipment.
Monitor network performance, security, and availability, implementing improvements where necessary.
Assist in the design and deployment of new IT infrastructure solutions.
Maintain and update documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and technology initiatives.
Respond to and resolve escalated IT support requests in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience in system and network administration roles.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
Hands-on experience with firewall configuration (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto).
Expertise in Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat).
Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation tasks. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex IT issues.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or equivalent) preferred.
